Nine Children.

Leo/Leo Bideo/Leo Shmeo.

We rescued him almost 5 years ago.  He’s a seven year old Pom and is my baby boy.

Delilah/Lilah Bear/Blind Girl.

Lilah was born with cataracts, and is such a happy girl.  When we rescued her as a puppy they said she was a Great Dane Mix.  The second we saw her we knew they were wrong.  We think she’s a Shepherd/Pit/Something else mix.

Bessie/Besita/Pretty Pretty Princess.

She was found on a freeway then taken to a rescue. My sister picked her out about 5 years ago and she is our beautiful mutt.  Seriously, she is gorgeous.  She’s my little hiker, and can jump an eight foot fence no problem.

Dodger/Dodgie Man/Weenie Boy.

He’s our Wire-Hair Dachshund. He loves toys more than any other dog i’ve seen.  We rescued him from a neglectful home.

Keller.

Our Albino Dachshund who is both deaf and blind.  He is such a handful, but the happiest creature in the world.  He has no idea he is any different than the rest.  He loves every person or animal that crosses his path, and can sniff out absolutely anything.

Scarlet.

My sweet sweet Beardie.  I would have never imagined I could love a lizard like I love her.

Zoey and Jack Daniels.

I took home Jack when I first started working at my pet store 3 years ago.  We got her in when she was just a baby and hand raised her.  She was (and still is) so so sweet.  I ended up falling in love with her and taking her home.

I rescued Zoey when I lived in SLO.  The pet store I worked at took in abandoned or unwanted animals, so one day a man in his mid 20’s dropped him off and said he couldn’t afford to take care of a bird any longer. Zoey was mean as hell.  He would brake my skin and bite me every time I held him, but I was determined to make him sweet.  I introduced him to my Jack one day and they fell in love instantly.  Now they are inseparable.

*The only way to tell a birds sex is to get them blood tested.  When I finally decided to after rescuing Zoey, I learned that my Jack is a girl, and my Zoey is a boy.  I just can’t change their names, I don’t want to, so it is what it is!

This is my dove.  I recently rescued him and I am unable to release him back into the wild because he has been domesticated too long.  He is the sweetest creature I have ever come across.  I think he’s a boy because of all the cooing and noises he makes, but let’s be real, I don’t have the best history sexing birds correctly.
